Windows App Store stays in "pending" status
If you have this problem like myself, make sure you try a couple of things:
1.- Cancel the installation, restart the PC, try again.
2.- Try step 1 a couple of times
3.- As a last resource, open an elevated command prompt
4.- type the following commands
net stop wuauserv
rename c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old
net start wuauserv
5.- Try to install your Windows 8 Metro App, it should work
Note: You should try step 4 as a last resort due to the fact that it will delete all your history on software installations and updates.

Windows Metro Apps work with a Proxy
I though my first post for windows 8 had to be relevant, well, I had some problems using the Metro Apps behind a proxy. It didn't help to set up just the IE 10 with the Connections -> LAN Settings -> Proxy server, I had to go to the local group policy settings!!!
Here is how:
1.Open "Local Policy Editor". Remember you can run the Local Policy Editor with the mmc adding the adding the snap-in Group Policy Object
2. Go to "Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network Isolation"
3. If you have the Windows 8 Preview version the key is "Internet Proxy Servers for Metro Style Apps" and enter your proxy settins, if you have the RTM release of the Windows 8, the key is "Internet proxy servers for Apps"
4. If for some reason doesn't work, make sure you restart your computer to clear any cache and try again.
